This took me by surprise, but at the same time, society is by now shock-resistant. But still this piece I looked at then aimed my focus elsewhere other than the axe, and the blood told me either she just killed a chicken or someone attempted to intrude into her home and she had no weapon.

If I were to be honest with you and gave you my first impression, I would say her husband deserved what he got for what he did to such a beautiful woman. But then again, beauty can be deceiving in some ways, can't it?
All in all, I must say this piece is an excellent piece of work, original, very impacting upon first glance, and has a very insightful vision. The walls are a great background for this woman to stand before and present herself. The axe, to me is metaphoric for anything or anyone who would or does harm women. The blood? It's the price the person has to pay for rendering her into the state of shock and disarray from this possible scene.
I encourage this artist to keep up the very good work.
