I may have seen too many 'b' grade martial arts movies where warrior flashes sword a bit and then bows to the opponent to show how polite and civilized the warrior is before running the opponent thru with the sword
Doing an animation like this from side view or 3 quarter view could be more interesting, as you could get a much nicer view of the flat side of the blade. At the moment, the final thrust is lost as the thin side of the blade is facing directly towards us and it's practically invisible.
That's cool, its good practice for sure. Did you blend the switch over a number of frames, or did you switch over one frame ? I had a go at picking where the switch took place but it wasn't noticeable, so good job there.
I know right now you are evolving as an artist and that is a great thing for you and even for us , because you will be able to bring more art for us, but damn do I miss Saphire. I would really like to see more art of her or are you working on other characters aswell on paralel with the animation learning?
